What are 3D Renderings?
3D Renderings are computer generated images, also known as CGI, that are often created for either manufacturing or marketing purposes. Renderings are made from taking geometrical data in the computer and having either your CPU or GPU calculate the lighting properties based on your scene setup to create a final image. This is not to be confused with modeling which is the creation of the actual geometrical data. Often times, renderings are also used in place of digital photography due to their flexibility. Many of the worlds most renowned companies and even individuals utilize renderings for both their products and ideas. Renderings have a wide application such as visualizations of devices such as cell phones, tablets, and computers. However, they can also be seen in other areas such as real estate, vehicles, and more. Since renderings are computer generated, once you have your model file the possibilities are endless and you can go anywhere from producing breathtaking images of your project, all the way to physically manifesting it through methods such as 3D printing*.
